Being invited to work at the International Glass Art Center (CIAV) of Meisenthal I revisited the operating principle of incandescent lightbulb by using a pencil lead instead of the regular tungsten filament. During my stay I asked glass blowers to produce the differents bulbs I needed to make my nightime lighting experiment.

By using this custom device I illuminated several parts of the glass factory area. The photographs taken show with a strong contrast the industrial architecture of the place and outline its glass ability legacy.

By emphasizing the images grain I produced a serie of prints that share the visual aspect of both old photography and pencil lead drawing.
